According to USATODAY, An inmate in a Nebraska Jail wants to change his name to “Sinner Lawrence Bilskirnir”, but a judge said he can’t!

Court documents say 23-year-old Jonathan L. Thomas cited his Norse religion in seeking the name change to Sinner Lawrence Bilskirnir. He says he “is a heathen and Thor is his ‘High God.”‘

This is a trip. In his mind it’s been accepted that he’s sinned and according to his religion is seeks to change his name to “Sinner”. I personally wouldn’t want to be called sinner inside or outside the walls. Who knows what kind of extra friendly inmates around me would take THAT the wrong way (rhetorical question).

Then again, I would be pretty foolish to want my name to be “Sinner”… At least legally…LOL! Stop projecting onto yourself young brotha! Is the law really looking into Mr. Thomas’ best interests? According to the Judge, he needs to be “closely monitored” because of what he’s done. Apparently, he has three child support cases and a possession charge.

As if jail weren’t enough. Let the man do what he wants with his name.
